What to consider when hosting an Open World Journey

The Open World program is aligned with FFI’s mission but has some key differences from a regular Friendship Force journey

Open World

  • Open World programs are available to U.S. clubs only.
  • Each Open World program consists of a delegation of 5 young professionals or emerging leaders, 1 group facilitator, and an interpreter.
  • Clubs that host an Open World program plan an 8-day professional program that educates on the designated theme of the program, promotes international understanding, and provides insight into US governmental processes and democracy.
  • The programming must be professionally-focused on a designated theme and it must follow grant requirements.
  • It is guaranteed that Open World delegates will receive their visa in time to travel.
